Ideal for thinning and smoothing the edges or gum paste petals, frills, & leaves.  Place the shaped gum paste onto a foam Jem pad, then using the modeling tool, positioned over the edge of the paste, slide the tool to thin & shape as required.  This is also an important tool for carving & shaping creases & folds in fondant figures.
