During this dessert cake workshop, Kathleen will be explaining and demonstrating some of her own techniques she has developed since 1980, making her cakes the buzz around town! Kathleen will be explaining and demonstrating how to make four different flavor combinations: White Chocolate Strawberry Truffle, Chocolate Almond Coconut Truffle, Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffle, and Chocolate Raspberry Truffle cake. Students will be learning how to compliment each cake with a different truffle or cake filling, mousse, jam or preserves. Learn how to make your own gourmet simple syrups using liqueur and other flavors giving cakes a "Simply Gourmet" appeal. Students will be shown how to work with bakery type whipped cream frosting, completing dessert cakes with a gourmet flair. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
